10to4 2022
Over 200 people, including those from 4-year olds to intrepid 60 pluses are anticipated to take part in the 10to4 mountain event this year to raise vital funds for the Mount Kenya Trust, a conservation organisation that has been working in close partnership with Kenya Wildlife Service and Kenya Forest Service for over two decades.
After a disappointing cancellation in 2021 with only Day 1 events being completed, the team and cyclists were ready for an outdoor downhill and uphill challenge of a lifetime. The races included the 73km Hardcore on Borana Conservancy, while the 60km Classic and the 56km Rush took riders through the Mt Kenya Forest Reserve, stunning farms, rural roads and Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve. The Slide is for all abilities and took riders straight through farmland and the Ngare Ndare Forest to finish at Borana Race Village where all races end.

Held over two days, the Extreme combines both the Hardcore and the Classic. This event challenges the fitness and technical abilities of any seasoned mountain bikers and elite teams. Covering 73km on Day 1, riders faced an elevation gain and loss of nearly 2000m with fast technical sections and single-track routes all on Borana Conservancy. Day 2 followed with the Classic, a 60km race that has become synonymous with the 10to4. The Extreme is not for the faint of heart!
