Where do you need to be?
On-site check-in
There will be opportunities to check-in and collect your race number, T-shirt and goody bag in Nanyuki Town during the run up to the weekend. On Thursday afternoon and all day Friday, the check-in desk will probably be here. From the check-in desk to the entrance to Borana Conservancy (for the Race Village) is a 15-20 minute drive on an unsurfaced road.
Borana Race Village
The gate into Borana Conservancy is here. It's a good 20 minute drive on unsurfaced roads from the gate to Borana Race Village (BRV). This is where the campsite is located, as well as the Start line on Day 1 and Finish line on both days. It's also where the Mini10to4 is held on Sunday.
PLEASE NOTE: Borana main gate closes at 8:00pm each evening and if you arrive after that you won't get in.
Bike Drop
You can arrange to drop your bike at the check-in desk on Friday (or BRV if you're doing a two day race), and we'll transport it up to Saturday's Start Line for you. You can get a bus from BRV to the Start in the morning or drive yourself, but leave plenty of time to get there and pick up and check your bike. To book Bike Drop and optional Rider Transport, please visit add-ons.
Saturday Start Line
All Saturday's races start at the Mount Kenya Trust Horse Patrol camp on Kisima Farm here. To get there, you'll need to turn off the A2 at The Outpost service station and follow the signs. Again, it's an unsurfaced road and will take 15-20 minutes from the turn off to the Start Line parking.
Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours to get from BRV to the Start Line.
